Reflexology

Reflexology is a time-honored holistic healing practice that has been cherished for centuries across various cultures. Rooted in the belief that specific points on the feet correspond to different organs and systems in the body.

Cupping Massage Therapy is performed by an RMT and is the application of plastic vacuum cups or silicone suction cups applied to the skin to create suction. Heidi graduated with honours from the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy in 2011 and provides the most effective treatment possible by incorporating MPS Therapy and Stamina alignment techniques into her practice. MPS Therapy is based out of Traditional Chinese Medicine but does NOT use any needles, instead hand-held microcurrent units are used to communicate with the body through acupuncture points and protocols addressing a wide variety of conditions. Visceral Manipulation Therapy is also used, focusing on both the function of the internal organs and how they interact with the neighbouring organs by releasing adhesions and restrictions.

Heidi incorporates additional techniques she’s attained through certificates in Cranial Sacral Therapy levels l & ll, Visceral Manipulation (internal organ specific assessment & treatment), Kinesio Taping, and Reiki. She supports a wide range of conditions such as stress, anxiety, long standing chronic pain, recent injuries, rehabilitation, treatment of both old and recent scars, post surgical and preparatory optimization of tissues before surgery, head trauma, and increasing strength and stability of muscles and joints so you can live your best life.

Your first session with Heidi will be more weighted on the side of assessment. Often half to three-quarters of this first appointment will include a discussion of your health history, self care instructions and a thorough explanation of what to expect before you get onto the table for treatment. At least 15 minutes of treatment will be allotted for this first session. If a 90 minute session is booked for your first visit with Heidi, 30-60 minutes may be receiving treatment. Transparently offering information about the benefits of each available modality is essential so that the client feels empowered and may give informed consent. Once a treatment plan has been agreed upon, subsequent treatments with Heidi will have a shorter time for re-assessment, often taking only 5 to 10 minutes.

It is her expertise in Western and Eastern philosophies combined with the significance of the mind-body connection that make Massage Therapy with Heidi such a unique and comprehensive experience. Come see for yourself how her distinctive approach can help accelerate your health and overall sense of well being.

Vanesa graduated from Mohawk College in 2016..

She enjoys helping clients manage their aches and pains by identifying and treating the root of it. Every client’s individual needs and preferences for treatment modalities are considered when developing a treatment plan.

Her treatment approach optimizes soft tissue release techniques to help manage symptoms of musculoskeletal disorders, such as muscle strains/sprains, carpal tunnel syndrome, or rotator cuff injuries.

Depending on client comfortability and preference, she may also include other modalities such as: cupping, reiki, trigger point therapy, and Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF) massage.

These techniques aim to encourage range of motion, improve mobility, and manage pain and stress.

She likes to combine cupping, reiki, and PNF massage, as these modalities can have the benefit of addressing pain from a combination of holistic and clinical approaches.

Currently, she is a full-time student completing the Traditional Chinese Medicine Acupuncture Program at AIM Academy in Toronto. She is projected to finish her studies by June 2025 and is looking forward to bringing acupuncture and more modalities to the treatment room!

In her spare time, you can find Vanesa spending time with family and friends, enjoying books, movies/tv shows, and taking dance classes.
