Heidi graduated with honours from the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy in 2011 and provides the most effective treatment possible by incorporating MPS Therapy and Stamina alignment techniques into her practice. MPS Therapy is based out of Traditional Chinese Medicine but does NOT use any needles, instead hand-held microcurrent units are used to communicate with the body through acupuncture points and protocols addressing a wide variety of conditions. Visceral Manipulation Therapy is also used, focusing on both the function of the internal organs and how they interact with the neighbouring organs by releasing adhesions and restrictions.

Heidi incorporates additional techniques she’s attained through certificates in Cranial Sacral Therapy levels l & ll, Visceral Manipulation (internal organ specific assessment & treatment), Kinesio Taping, and Reiki. She supports a wide range of conditions such as stress, anxiety, long standing chronic pain, recent injuries, rehabilitation, treatment of both old and recent scars, post surgical and preparatory optimization of tissues before surgery, head trauma, and increasing strength and stability of muscles and joints so you can live your best life.

Your first session with Heidi will be more weighted on the side of assessment. Often half to three-quarters of this first appointment will include a discussion of your health history, self care instructions and a thorough explanation of what to expect before you get onto the table for treatment. At least 15 minutes of treatment will be allotted for this first session. If a 90 minute session is booked for your first visit with Heidi, 30-60 minutes may be receiving treatment. Transparently offering information about the benefits of each available modality is essential so that the client feels empowered and may give informed consent. Once a treatment plan has been agreed upon, subsequent treatments with Heidi will have a shorter time for re-assessment, often taking only 5 to 10 minutes.

It is her expertise in Western and Eastern philosophies combined with the significance of the mind-body connection that make Massage Therapy with Heidi such a unique and comprehensive experience. Come see for yourself how her distinctive approach can help accelerate your health and overall sense of well being.
